Welding data are not particularly useful unless there is a way to get them out of the box. Therefore, all Hürner systems capable of report generation do not only allow sending the reports to a printer, but also feature an interface to transfer them to a printer. Moreover, DataTrans for PocketPC allows turning a PocketPC or a PDA easily into a portable memory module that gets the data out of the welding system on site and into the PC in your office through a USB or Bluetooth interface. This computer likely will have DataWork GIS and EasyDesign installed — the welding report database application with data management, pipeline system management, and maintenance planning capabilities, as well as the job report software that allows creating standard-compliant bar codes at a mouse click. You thus have your comfortable PC tool for archiving, sorting, and converting your welding data to all common database formats, of course in compliance with the extended report specifications under the ISO TC 138 SC 4 standard. And to offer you even more efficiency, in particular when scheduling maintenance operations for large pipeline networks, the exact geographic coordinates can be added to each weld. Creating Job Reports and Bar Codes at a Mouse Click Hürner EasyDesign is a software, running under Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP, that allows, on the one hand, generating and printing job reports from a predefined template, and on the other, generating all standard-compliant bar codes for plastic pipeline construction work on the basis of the international ISO standards.

The Next Generation of Portable Data Memory DataTrans is compatible with the PocketPC operating system Windows Mobile 2003 SE and later, as well as with Windows 2000/XP on your PC. The software is your ideal tool for concentrating welding reports from all Hürner welding systems that feature report generation. The data transfer software is installed on a PocketPC that is always ready at hand and can also be used for a number of administrative tasks that can thus be completed directly on the worksite. More independent and more reliable operation, as electronic devices for report analysis that are rather more suited for your office, need not be operated on the worksite.
